Having started life as a pop-up shop back in 2004, Coast & Country ventured into e-commerce in 2008, using a legacy solution called CubeCart. With an increasing number of sales being carried out on mobile devices, and Google moving towards a “Mobile-first” index, Coast & Country needed a new site that would work equally well across all devices. It was also important to maintain and improve the excellent search coverage they had achieved.
Design a new “Responsive” (device-friendly) website. Migrate existing products, clients and orders onto a new ecommerce platform. Retain existing functionality and add additional features such as:
- Wish Lists
- Wait Lists
Specification – The first stage of the project was to audit the existing solution and detail how the existing and new functionality would be incorporated into the new site.
Design & Build – With the plans for the new site firmed up and agreed by the client, we set about designing the site to work across all devices. Once the designs had been approved, work commenced on developing the site.
Hosting, Migration & Launch – Now that the site was ready on our Managed WooCommerce Hosting solution, built for speed, reliability and security, it was time to migrate the content from the existing CubeCart site. This required planning and the use of a 3rd party service, to reduce the time and costs involved with migrating 1000’s of products, customers and order.
Digital Marketing – With the new site launched, 2able provides ongoing Digital Marketing and Support to the client. This includes:
- UX improvements
- Page Speed work
- Ad hoc paid ad campaigns as required
- Content and layout updates
- Digital Marketing advice
- Customised reports
“2able converted our old CubeCart powered eCommerce website to a device-friendly WooCommerce website, and it’s been outstanding.”
